Far from a gateway drug, marijuana helps today’s senior citizens exit the vicious cycle of pharmaceuticals and addiction.
Chronic pain sufferers across America now have access to powerful cannabis-based therapies for their pain. CBD clinical trials across the country are now accepting participants and many pay for the cost of treatment.
“Right now, only companies that are also licensed to distribute liquor in Nevada are able to bring marijuana to dispensaries,” Nevada Public Radio’s Casey Morell reports for NPR’s Newscast unit. “The dispensaries say that’s why they’re running out of the drug.”

The use of medical marijuana is legal in the U.S. state of Georgia. But like many other states, it is illegal to grow, import or sell it.
“The treatment made the young brain old and the old brain young,” he said. “So that was something that was above our imagination.”
With these staggering data points in mind, a neurobiologist conducted a study to see if cannabis could reduce the cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms of heroin users.
Nearly half of pot-using parents (47 percent, to be exact) have consumed it in front of their children, shared it with their children or both. Meanwhile, 60 percent of pot-using parents have told their children honestly that they use cannabis.
The decades-long battle to legalize marijuana remains cloudy in 2017.
The legislation “seeks to legalize, strictly regulate and restrict access to cannabis, and it will make Canada safer,” said Bill Blair, parliamentary secretary to the minister of justice, on Thursday.
